Jayabharathi Upem School

We've been running Jayabharathi Upem School here in Karasa for quite some time now. You can find us right on the Main Road in Marripalem, which makes it easy for parents to drop their kids off before they head to work. The building is at 58-9-1. It is not a fancy place, just a regular school where we focus on getting the basics right for the students. Most of the teachers live nearby in Visakhapatnam, so they know the families well. We have rooms for different classes and a bit of space for the kids to run around during their breaks. Some days it gets pretty noisy with everyone talking at once, but that is just how a school is. We try to keep things organized, though paperwork sometimes piles up on the desks in the office. People in the neighborhood know where we are. We see the same faces every morning at the gate. It is a steady routine here. We teach the usual subjects and try to make sure every child understands what is on the blackboard. Sometimes the fans are a bit loud in the summer heat. We just keep going with the lessons. It is important that the children here feel comfortable and stay focused on their books. It is a local place, nothing more and nothing less than a school for the community. We are just doing our part here in the city.
