Sri Sathavahana High School

Sri Sathavahana High School is located out in Veerannapalem, near Parchoor. It is a quiet enough spot most of the time, except when the students are arriving. We have been operating here for years now and have seen many local kids grow up and move on. The school isn't some high-tech facility with glass walls; it is just a solid brick building that does the job. We have classrooms that get quite warm in the summer, so we keep the windows open for whatever breeze comes through. The playground is mostly dirt and some patches of grass where the kids play sports after their classes are done. We don't use much in the way of advertising. Most people find out about us from their neighbors or relatives who live in Veerannapalem. The day starts early here because many of our students have a bit of a walk or a ride to get to us. We have a small staff room where we drink tea and talk about the day’s plans. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just keep going with the lessons anyway. It’s a practical place. We focus on the books and the exams because that is what matters for the kids' futures. There is nothing too complicated about how we run things. We just try to provide a decent place for the youth of Parchoor to get their education without any unnecessary fuss or drama. It helps to keep the community feeling like we are all working together.
