J K High School is tucked away in MVP Colony, right near the Shirdhi Sai Temple. If you know Visakhapatnam, you know how busy this area can get, especially on Thursdays when people are heading to the temple. Our school sits on Plot No. Might -1, and it’s a bit of a maze if you aren’t used to the layout. The address says 2-34-4/1, but most people just look for the temple and find us from there. We’ve got a lot of students packed into the building, and the noise level can get pretty high when the wind blows the sound through the hallways. Being so close to the coast, the air is always a bit salty, and the humidity can make the classrooms feel heavy in the summer. We have fans in every room, though they don’t always do much more than move the hot air around. Our staff is a hardworking group. We spend our days dealing with everything from lost textbooks to fixing the plumbing in the washrooms. It’s not a glamorous job, but we’ve been doing it for years. Parents in MVP Colony are usually pretty involved, so we see them often, usually stopping by to chat after they visit the temple. We don’t have a massive playground, but the kids find ways to play in the spaces we have. It’s just our local school.
