Bhashyam Residential School

Bhashyam Residential School is located in Saripalli, which is a bit of a distance from the main Visakhapatnam city. Because it’s a residential school, things are a bit different here. The day starts very early. You can hear the kids getting ready while the sun is barely up. We have dorms and a dining hall where everyone eats together. It’s a large campus and there is always something that needs fixing, whether it’s a leaky tap or a light bulb that went out. We don't have a marketing team writing our stuff for us. We are just the people who live and work here. The atmosphere is quite busy because the students are with us all the time. We have to manage the kitchen, the cleaning, and the teaching all at once. It’s not always perfect. Sometimes the food is a bit late or the playground gets overgrown with weeds, but we do our best to stay on top of it. The staff and the students get to know each other pretty well since they see each other every single day. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall. We just try to keep the routine going and make sure everyone has what they need. It’s a lot of responsibility, but we’ve been doing it at Saripalli for a while now and we know the ropes. It’s just a busy, lived-in school that feels like a second home.
