V S R Bricks

V S R Bricks is located right on Wyra Road in Khammam. If you are driving down this way, you have probably seen our gates near the 192 marker. It’s a busy stretch of road, especially in the afternoons when everyone is heading back into town. We spend a lot of our time out in the yard moving bricks around. It is dusty work and the sun in Khammam can be really tough during the summer months. We started this place because there was a lot of building going on nearby and we had the space for it. My brother and I usually handle the day-to-day stuff. We don't have any fancy brochures or a marketing team. Most people just pull their trucks in and ask what we have available that day. We keep a few different piles going depending on how long they've been sitting out. The tally is kept in a notebook we keep in the front shed. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to chat for a bit while we are loading up a customer. We try to keep the place organized, but with so many bricks coming and going, there is always a bit of a mess somewhere. It is just an honest way to make a living and we like being part of the local community here on Wyra Road. We don’t do much else besides work, eat, and sleep at the end of the day.
