Smr Bricks

We have been making bricks here in Sarapaka for quite some time now. You can find us right on Badrachalam Road at 2-7-14. It is not a very fancy place, mostly just piles of bricks and a lot of dust from the work we do every day. My father started this and now we just keep it going as best as we can. We spend most of our mornings checking the kilns and making sure everything is drying right. The weather here can be a bit tricky for making bricks, especially when the rains start coming down hard. When that happens, we have to scramble to cover everything up or we lose the whole batch. It is hard work and our hands are always dirty, but that is just how it is. People from around the neighborhood come by when they are building a new wall or fixing up their houses. We do not have a big office or anything, just a small desk where we keep the books. Sometimes the trucks get delayed on the road, which is annoying for everyone, but we try to manage. We just focus on getting the bricks out to whoever needs them. If you walk past the shop, you will probably see us loading a tractor or just sitting under the shade when it gets too hot in the afternoon. It is a simple life here in Sarapaka and we are glad to be a part of it.
