Our shop is tucked into the Cvr Complex over on Prakasam Road. If you know where the Andhra Hospital is in Governerpet, then we are right there beside it. I have been cutting hair in this same spot for a lot of years. It’s a basic place with a few chairs and some mirrors that have seen better days. People come in when they need a quick trim or a shave before work. We don't have any of those fancy coffee machines or soft music playing. Usually, it’s just the ceiling fan humming and maybe a radio in the background. It gets very busy on the weekends when everyone is off. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait, but we try to keep moving so nobody is sitting there for too long. Being near the hospital means we see a lot of different people coming through. We know most of our regulars by their first names and they usually tell us about their families or their jobs while they are in the chair. It is a bit noisy because of the traffic on Prakasam Road, but you just get used to it after a while. We keep the floor swept as much as we can, but hair is everywhere when it's a busy Saturday. We use standard scissors and clippers. Nothing too modern. If you want a regular haircut without any fuss, this is where we are. Laxman Hair Styles has just been part of the street for a while.
