Manu Beauty Parlour

Our place is right on Jyothi Vidhyalayam Road in Patamata. If you know the Patamata Bus Stop Road, we are very close to that area. It's a convenient spot for people living nearby or those catching a bus home after work. We opened up Manu Beauty Parlour because there weren't many simple places around here for basic threading or a hair wash. The room is small but we keep it tidy. Usually, it's just me and one other girl working here. Most days we are busy with college students from the nearby schools or ladies who live in the apartments behind us. We talk a lot about the local news while we work on someone's hair. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to open the windows to let some air in. It gets quite humid in Vijayawada, so having a place to sit and get a facial feels good for the local women. We don't have big neon signs or anything like that. Just a small board out front so people know where to turn. It is a quiet street mostly, except when school lets out. We just try to make sure every person who walks in leaves feeling a bit better than when they arrived. We have been here for a few years now and know almost everyone's name by now. It’s just a normal neighborhood shop where the neighbors come to catch up while they get ready for some function.
