Sri Sai Venkat Saloon

Our little shop is located at 6-128/1 on Gollikrishnaya Veedhi. It’s in the Ramavarappadu area of Vijayawada. If you know where the State Bank of India is around here, we are very close to that building. Sri Sai Venkat Saloon has been part of this street for a long time. It’s a very local vibe here. Most of our customers live just a few houses away or work at the nearby shops on the main road. We do haircuts and shaves, mostly for the men in the neighborhood. It’s a small space, so when three or four people are waiting, it feels quite full. We have some old posters on the walls and a radio that’s usually playing something in the background to fill the silence. My hands stay busy from morning till night. I don't really think about it as a big business or anything. It’s more like a service for the people around Ramavarappadu. We don't use any fancy products, just the standard stuff that works fine. The chairs are a bit old and the vinyl is cracked in places, but they are comfortable enough for a ten-minute trim. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that's just life in this part of town. People don't mind the wait. They just sit and talk about their day. I like that about this place. It's not rushed or corporate. We just stay open until the work is finished.
