Toni And Guy Hairdressing

Toni And Guy Hairdressing is located on the second floor of the PVP Mall. Being inside a mall is quite different from being on a regular street because we don't have to deal with the rain or the dust from the road. The air conditioning stays on all day, which is nice, but the lights can feel a bit bright after standing under them for eight hours. We spend most of our time on our feet, moving around chairs and sweeping up piles of hair that end up everywhere. The sounds of the mall, like the music from the speakers and people talking in the corridors, are always there in the background. We have a lot of mirrors and big chairs, and we try to keep the counters tidy, though they always end up covered in combs and bottles by noon. Sometimes the mall gets really quiet on weekday mornings, and we just stand around waiting for the first person to show up. On weekends, it’s the opposite, and we barely have time to sit down for a quick lunch in the back room. The second floor gets a good amount of people walking by, so we see a lot of faces through the glass front. It’s a clean place to work, even if our shoes get covered in hair by the end of the shift. We’ve been at this mall location for a bit now and have the routine down pretty well.
