Swaraj Metalic Pumps

We’ve been here at 165/b/7 in the GIDC area for quite some time now. Being right near the Tata Service Station helps people find us, though the roads get busy during shift changes. Vapi is a loud place, always something moving. We mostly spend our days looking at different pump sets and metal parts. It's dusty work. Sometimes the tea stall down the lane is the only break we get in a ten-hour shift. We don't have a big fancy office with glass doors. Just a regular workshop where we handle the orders that come in from the other factories nearby. People drop by, ask about a specific model, and we see what's on the shelf. If we don't have it, we try to figure out when it's coming. That's just how it goes here in Phase 2. The humidity in Gujarat can be tough on the metal if you aren't careful. We keep the shutters up most of the day to let the air in, even if it brings in the noise from the street. It isn’t glamorous, but it keeps us busy. My hands are usually greasy by noon. Most of our neighbors are doing the same thing, just trying to get the jobs done before the weekend. We know the local guys well. If someone needs a pump, they usually know where to find the little gate by the station.
