Kaprada Farmer Producer Company Limited

Out here in Nana Pondha, things move a bit slower than the city. We are based in Masjidfaliya, right at Minaben Khushalbhai Ganvit’s place. It’s a local village setup because that is where the farmers are. Kaprada Farmer Producer Company is really just a bunch of us from the Kaprada taluka trying to work together. We don't have a big office building. Instead, we meet up in the village and talk about what we’re growing. Usually, it’s about the weather or the price of the harvest. Everyone knows everyone else around here, so there’s no point in being formal. We work with the people we’ve known our whole lives. It’s about getting better results for the crops we all put our sweat into. Sometimes we meet under a tree or just on the porch of the house. The paperwork is always a bit of a headache, but we manage it together. It’s honest work and it’s tough, especially when the rains don’t come when they should. We don’t have fancy titles or big salaries. We just want to see the village do well. Nana Pondha is a quiet place and we like it that way. We’re just local folks doing our best with what we have on the land. Every day is different depending on the season, but the goal is always just to keep going and making sure the farmers here have a voice. It is a simple life and we are okay with that.
