Our company, Agroecological Facilitations Private Limited, is way out in Mandva, which is part of the Kaprada taluka. If you know the Nashik Road, the SH 898, you can find us at number 332. It is a bit of a drive to get out here, but the air is better than in the cities. We focus on the land and the way things grow naturally in this part of the country. Kaprada has a lot of hills and it can get very green during the monsoon season. We spend a lot of time outside talking to the local people who have been farming these lands for a long time. They know the soil better than anyone, so we mostly listen to them. Our office is just a practical space where we keep our tools and papers. It isn't very fancy, just some desks and chairs and a lot of muddy boots by the door. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who don't mind the long hours and the dirt. Sometimes the roads get washed out when it rains too hard, so things can get a bit slow. But we don't mind. We just take it day by day and try to help the farmers around Mandva get their work done. It is a quiet life, but there is always something to do with the plants and the earth. We just keep our heads down and focus on what needs doing on the ground. It’s not corporate work, just plain farming help.
