Tithal Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our place is in Valsad, specifically over in Faldhara. We are at number 1739 in Nishal Falita, which is right near the G.P. office. It is a quiet spot, mostly surrounded by trees and fields. We are a producer company, which is just a way of saying a bunch of farmers got together to make things easier for themselves. We deal with whatever is growing in the season, whether it is mangoes or something else. The office is small and often smells like the outdoors because someone just walked in from the orchards. We don't have air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that clicks a lot. We sit around and talk about the market and the weather. Sometimes we disagree on how to sell the crops, but we figure it out eventually. It is a community thing. My cousin helps with the transport and I do most of the ledger entries. We don't have a big sign outside, just the number on the door. People know where we are because we have lived here our whole lives. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in Gujarat. We just want to make sure the farmers in Faldhara don't get cheated on prices. It is a lot of work for not a lot of money, but it feels right to do it this way. Just plain, honest farming business. Most days we are just happy if the rain comes at the right time.
