Bhagyashri Krushi Udyog Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Palkhed in the Vaijapur area. We are located at G.No.211. This isn't a big business run by people in suits from the city. It’s just us, the local farmers who have spent our entire lives working in these fields. Vaijapur can be a tough place to farm because of the water situation and the heat, so we figured we should stand together. We use this company to help each other out with getting what we need for the planting season. When we started, we didn't really know much about running a private limited company, we just knew we needed to stop being taken advantage of at the market. Now we gather at Palkhed and talk about what we are going to grow and how to get it to the market without losing all our profit to the middleman. It’s a slow process and some days are definitely better than others. We don't have a marketing team or anything polished like that. We just have our crops and our local knowledge.
