Zalani Handicrafts

If you’re looking for us, Zalani Handicrafts is right opposite Wadi Tower in the Wadi area. We are very close to the SBI Bank, which makes it easy for people to find the shop. Inside, it’s usually quite full because we have a lot of different pieces we’ve collected or made. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when customers come in at the same time. We deal in all sorts of traditional items, things that have a bit of history to them. My family and a few others help keep the place running. We spend a lot of time dusting off shelves and rearranging the displays. The Wadi area is always lively, so there’s always something happening outside the front door. We like being near the bank because it’s a landmark everyone knows. We aren't some big retail chain with shiny floors. Our floors are a bit worn and the lighting isn’t always perfect, but the handicrafts are what matter. We try to help people find what they need without making a big fuss about it. Sometimes we’re busy packing things up for shipping, and other times we’re just sitting here waiting for the next person to walk in. It’s a simple way to make a living, selling things that people actually put effort into making by hand.
