Swiss Pack Pvt Ltd is located right on the Vadodara-Jambusar National Highway. Being on the highway means there is always a lot of dust and the constant sound of heavy trucks rushing past our front gate. Our facility is where we handle all the packaging work, and it’s a big, open space filled with large machines and rolls of plastic and foil. It can get quite loud once everything is running, so we usually have to shout a bit to be heard by one another. The floor is concrete and stays pretty cool, which is a real relief when the sun is beating down on the roof during the afternoon. We have a small room for the staff to take breaks, but most people prefer to sit outside under the shade of the trees when it’s not too windy or dusty. We deal with a lot of logistics, making sure the right packages are ready for the right trucks when they pull in. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting and moving things around on pallets. We don't really bother with fancy decorations or anything like that because it would just get covered in grime within a week anyway. Our day starts early, usually before the traffic on the highway gets too bad, and we finish up once the last shift is done. It’s a straightforward job and we just focus on making sure the machines don’t break down and the output stays steady.
