Shyree Arbuda Granite

Our business, Shyree Arbuda Granite, is situated at 38 Channi Naka, right opposite Kalpana Nagar. It’s a very busy intersection, so there is never a quiet moment with all the horns and engines. We have our granite slabs lined up along the walls of the yard so people can see them as they drive past. It’s a bit of a tight space at number 38, but we make it work. Most of our day is spent moving these heavy pieces of stone around with the help of a few strong pairs of hands. We don't have a polished showroom with air conditioning. We just have the yard and the stone. When someone comes in from Kalpana Nagar or further away, we just walk them around the stacks and show them what we’ve got. It’s a lot of lifting and careful balancing so nothing breaks. The dust from the granite is everywhere, but we are used to it by now. We usually have a small pot of tea going in the corner of the shed for whoever stops by. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in town, just a reliable one where you can find some decent granite. It’s a simple way to make a living, and being at Channi Naka keeps us right in the middle of things. We just do our work and go home when the sun goes down.
