Shvidhara Granite Marble

Shvidhara Granite Marble is tucked away at G-13 in the Nandanvan Society area. It’s near the Vadsar Fatak crossing, so you probably hear the trains every now and then if you’re standing in our yard. We deal with heavy stone all day long, so it’s not the kind of job for someone who doesn’t want to get their hands dirty. The yard is full of big slabs leaning against each other. You have to be careful walking around. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. Most people just walk through the stacks with us and point at what they like. Cutting the stone makes a lot of noise and water gets everywhere, but that’s just the process. We’ve been at this Gidc road location for a good while. It’s mostly just me and a few workers who know how to handle the crane. We don't talk much while we're working because of the saws. It’s hard to keep everything clean with all the stone dust blowing around. We try to keep things organized, but when a new shipment comes in, the whole place gets cramped again. We aren't looking to grow into some huge corporation. We just like working with our hands and seeing the finished slabs go out to local houses. It’s a living, and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday without much of a break.
