Shri Moti Marble

If you head over to Fatepura 2nd Cross, you’ll find Shri Moti Marble at B 1. We deal with heavy stone and marble slabs all day long. It is physical work, and our clothes are usually covered in white stone dust by the time we go home. The yard is full of different types of stone, and we spend a lot of time moving them around so people can see the patterns. Fatepura is a busy area, and the 2nd Cross can get a bit cramped with trucks trying to load and unload. It’s not a fancy place at all; it’s a workshop and a storage area where the focus is on the stone itself. We don't have a big air-conditioned office, just a small corner where we keep our books and take some shade when we can. When the sun is out, the marble gets quite hot, and we have to use plenty of water to keep the dust down while we’re cutting or polishing. People come by to pick out something for their new house, and we walk them through what we have in stock. It’s a lot of standing around and discussing sizes and finishes. We’ve been at this for a long time, so we’ve seen a lot of houses in the city get finished with stone from our yard. It’s hard work, and the days are long, but we just get on with it and keep the yard moving.
