Shree Charbhuja Stone

Our yard, Shree Charbhuja Stone, is located on the Savli Magadi Main Road. It is a loud place because of all the trucks going past us all day. We are situated right opposite the masjid. You can hear the calls for prayer while we are working with the stone. It is a very dusty business to be in. Everything we have is usually covered in a thin layer of grey powder from the cutting and moving. We sell stones for all kinds of things. Some people want them for floors and others need them for walls. We spend most of our time moving heavy slabs around the yard. It is hard work and keeps us tired. We don't have a showroom with fancy lights. It is just the open yard under the sky. When the rain comes, the ground gets muddy and we have to move carefully. The masjid across the road is how most people find where we are. We don't do a lot of talking. We just show the customers what we have in the piles. If we have the size you need, you can take it. We use water to keep the dust down when we are cutting, so there is usually a puddle somewhere near the machines. People come by on bikes or in big trucks to pick up their stone orders. We have seen this road get much busier over the last few years. But the stones remain the same. They are heavy and take time to handle right.
