Shaivik Institute Of Music

Shaivik Institute Of Music is located at Nizampura 13. We are a small music school that’s been around for a few years. It’s not a big institution with hundreds of students. It’s more of a local place where people come to learn an instrument. We have a few rooms set up for lessons. You’ll usually hear someone playing the guitar or practicing their scales on a keyboard. We don't have any fancy soundproofing, so the music travels through the building. It’s a nice atmosphere most of the time. We started this because we wanted to share what we know about music. We don't have a strict corporate curriculum. We just see what the student wants to play and help them get there. Some of the kids are very enthusiastic and others just come because their parents asked them to. We teach all of them. The walls are a bit bare, maybe just a few posters of old musicians. We have a small area where people can sit and wait for their class. Nizampura is a busy neighborhood but our street is a bit quieter. We spend our evenings teaching and our mornings practicing ourselves. It’s a simple life built around music. We don't do much promotion. People just hear the music when they walk by and sometimes they come in to ask about classes. We keep the fees reasonable so anyone can learn if they want to.
