Sangityan The School Of Music

If you go up to the 8th floor of Alankar Tower on Sayajigunj Main Road, you’ll find us. Sangityan The School Of Music is located right in the middle of all the noise of Sayaji Ganj. Being on the 8th floor is nice because you get away from the street traffic for a bit. The elevator works most of the time, though sometimes we just walk up if we’re feeling like it. It’s a busy building with lots of other offices, so there are always people coming and going. Inside our space, it’s mostly just us and the instruments. We spend the day going through different pieces and talking about music. It’s not a very big space, but it fits what we do. You can see a lot of the city from our windows since we’re up so high. It’s a different view of Vadodara than you get from the ground. We’ve been here in this tower for a while. People know the address because it’s a well-known spot on the main road. 390020 is a busy area, but once you’re inside the school, it feels a bit more secluded. We don't really do anything for show. It’s just a place where we sit and work on music. The carpets are a bit old, and the walls could probably use some paint, but it works for us just fine.
