F M Dance Academy

Our academy is tucked away on Shankar Lane, right off R V Desai Road. It’s a spot we’ve called home for F M Dance Academy for some time now. The space isn't huge, but it has enough room for everyone to move around. We have mirrors on the walls and a floor that’s seen a lot of use over the years. You can usually hear the music playing from the street if the windows are open. It’s not a corporate school with uniforms and strict rules. We just like to get together and move. Some days the humidity makes the floor a bit sticky, but we just keep going. People from all over the neighborhood come by. Some are just starting out and others have been coming here for a long time. R V Desai Road is a familiar landmark for most people in this area. We don't have a fancy front desk or a glossy brochure to hand out. Usually, someone is just here to say hello and show you where to put your shoes. We spend most of our time practicing. The lights aren't the brightest, and the fans sometimes rattle, but it feels like home to us. It’s a place where we put in the hours because we enjoy it. We aren't looking to be famous, just keeping the rhythm going in our little corner of Shankar Lane. There is not much more to it than that, really.
