Our place is out in Sakhandra, which is part of the Pavi Jetpur taluka in Vadodara. It’s a bit of a trek if you are coming from the main city, but people around here know where we are. The address is just 2, At.Po. Sakhandra. We have a small building where we teach music. You can hear the sounds of harmoniums or maybe some singing if you walk by in the afternoon. It is pretty quiet around here otherwise, mostly just fields and local houses. We started this because we liked music and wanted a spot for it. There isn't much to the building, just a few rooms for practice. Sometimes the instruments need tuning because of the humidity, which can be a real pain. We have a few teachers who come in from nearby areas. The students are mostly local kids or people from the surrounding villages. It gets quite dusty during the dry season, so we are always cleaning the floors. We don't have any big signs or anything. People usually find us through word of mouth. It’s a humble setup, nothing like those big academies you see in the news. We just sit together, play some tunes, and try to learn something new. The evenings are the best time here when the sun goes down and the air cools off a bit. It’s just our little music corner in Sakhandra.
