Our shop is located right near the Navjivan Bus Stop on Ajwa Road. It’s a busy area, so there is always something going on outside our door. We’ve been here at Sawariya Marble & Stone Co. for a long time, and most people around here use the bus stop as a landmark to find us. We have piles of marble and stone slabs everywhere. It’s not the neatest place you’ll ever visit, because moving these heavy stones creates a bit of a mess. We don't have a polished showroom with bright lights. Usually, we just walk people out to the yard to look at the actual pieces we have in stock. You get a better idea of the color and the grain that way anyway. We’ve got a small crew that helps with the loading and unloading. It’s hard on the back, but we don’t complain much. We deal with all sorts of customers, from people doing up their first home to builders who need a lot of material at once. We don't use any fancy sales talk. We just tell you what the stone is and where it came from. The traffic on Ajwa Road can be a headache, but being right on the main path helps folks see what we have. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place where we just focus on the stone. We don't try to be something we aren't, just a local stone yard.
