Natraj Dance Academy

The studio is right here in Akota Sector 15. It isn't the biggest space, but it works for what we do every day. People come by after work or school to get some movement in. Natraj Dance Academy has been in this spot for a few years now. The floor boards creak a little in the corner near the window, but nobody seems to mind once the music starts playing. We have some big mirrors on the wall and a small area where people leave their shoes and bags. It gets pretty sweaty in the summer, even with the fans going full blast. We mostly teach the traditional stuff, but sometimes we try out newer things if the students ask for it. It's not a fancy place with a front desk or a receptionist. Usually, you just walk in and find one of us near the sound system. We spend a lot of time just practicing the same steps over and over until they look okay. It is hard work, honestly. But it is good to see people getting better at it week by week. Sometimes we have tea after the last class and just chat about how things are going in the neighborhood. It’s a nice little community we’ve got going on here. We don't have a big website or anything, just this spot in Akota where we show up every day and do our thing.
