S K Decoration

Down here in Vadodara 37 we have been running S K Decoration for a good while now and the back room is always a mess of colored paper and ribbons. Most days start with checking what we have left in the big plastic bins because things get used up fast when there is a wedding or a big party nearby. It is hard work actually because you are always on your feet or climbing up on shaky ladders to tape things to the ceiling. My hands usually have bits of tape or glue stuck to them by the time I head home for dinner. We don't have a big fancy office just this workspace where we put together the flower bunches and the balloon arches. The traffic outside in Vadodara can be loud but you get used to it after a few months. People come in with photos on their phones showing what they want their party to look like and we see if we can make it happen with what we have on the shelves. Sometimes we run out of a certain color of silk and have to scramble to find more before the weekend. It is a bit chaotic but it keeps us busy and the shop is never quiet. We keep the fans running high because it gets stuffy with all the fabric and plastic around. It is just a local business trying to keep up with the orders that come in.
