We spend most of our days at Karelibaug 14. This is a pretty lively neighborhood and there is always something going on outside our door. Priyesh Plastics is basically a big room filled with every kind of plastic thing you can think of. We have stacks of buckets, tubs, and all sorts of containers for the kitchen. It’s a bit of a squeeze to walk through the aisles sometimes because new stock arrives and we just pile it up where it fits. I try my best to keep things in some kind of order, but it never stays that way for long. Customers from the nearby houses come in looking for very specific colors or sizes. I spend a lot of time climbing up the ladder to reach the top shelves. The floor is just plain concrete and my feet get tired after standing for eight hours. We have a small desk tucked away in the back where I handle the bills. It’s covered in old notebooks and empty tea cups. Sometimes the neighbors stop by just to complain about the weather or the price of vegetables. I don't mind the talk. It breaks up the day. When it rains, the sound on the roof is so loud we have to shout to hear each other. It’s a simple business without any big secrets. We just sell plastic goods to whoever needs them and try to stay organized.
