At V. K. Plastic, located at Plot No. 636, we spend most of our time dealing with molds and raw materials. It’s a noisy environment because the machines that melt and shape the plastic never really stop during the day. We aren't a big outfit with a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If you walk in, you’ll likely see someone in overalls moving a pallet or checking a temperature gauge. We’ve been at this for a long time, so we know the quirks of our machines better than anyone else. Sometimes the plastic doesn't set right and we have to start the whole process over, which is frustrating but it happens to everyone in this trade. We don't spend money on big advertisements or polished websites. Most of our work comes from people knowing we’re here at 636 and that we show up every day to do the job. The staff here is like a small family; we eat lunch together and complain about the heat during the summer months. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy. We don't use a lot of technical jargon when we talk to people. If you need something made out of plastic, we see if we can do it, and if we can’t, we tell you straight. Our floors are a bit scuffed and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but the machines work fine, and that’s what actually matters for the business.
