Western India Ceramics Pvt. Ltd. is situated right on the Padra Highway. You’ve probably driven past us a hundred times if you live around here. The traffic is always moving, and sometimes it takes a while just to get a truck out of the gate and onto the main road. We’ve been at this spot for a long while. Inside the office, things are pretty simple. We have a couple of desks, some old filing cabinets, and usually a stack of samples sitting in the corner. It gets pretty loud with the highway noise, but after a few weeks, your ears just tune it out. We spend most of our time dealing with the production side of ceramics. It's a lot of making sure the kilns are right and the colors aren't coming out weird. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in India, we just want to do our work and go home to our families at the end of the shift. On Fridays, we usually slow down a bit and catch up on the cleaning. It’s a straightforward business. We don't spend money on fancy ads or anything like that. People find us because they need ceramics and we happen to be here on the highway. It’s honest work, and it keeps us all fed, which is what matters most to us.
