We set up shop in the Pratap Nagar Byculla Service Industrial Estate. We are right across from where the old Vihar Cinema used to be, which most locals still use as a landmark. Being in an industrial estate means things are always moving. There’s a lot of noise from the nearby units and trucks coming in and out all day long. We supply marbles and various stones to builders and regular people trying to finish their homes. It’s a dusty business, and there is always a layer of white powder on everything, including our clothes. We don't mind. It shows we’ve been working. The space we have is mostly for storage. We try to keep a good variety so people don’t have to wait too long for their orders. Sometimes the rain makes things a bit messy in the yard, but we work through it. We aren't a big corporation with fancy titles. We’re just guys who know about stone. You tell us the square footage and we help you find something that fits. We’ve seen many businesses come and go in this estate, but we’ve managed to stick around by just doing the work every day. It’s not always easy, especially when the weather is bad, but we like being part of this industrial community. There’s always someone to grab a quick tea with when the morning rush is over and the sun is high.
