Nakoda Marble And Granite Industries

We’re over at unit 15 in the Milan Industrial Estate. The estate is on Dharamsingh Desai Marg, just off the Old Channi Road. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always a lot of activity and noise from the other units. We’ve been working with marble and granite here for a long time. Our space is mostly taken up by large slabs and the machinery we use. It’s not the kind of place you’d come for a fancy tour. It’s a workshop where we get our hands dirty every day. The stone comes in big blocks or slabs, and we spend our time moving them around and getting them ready. It’s heavy, physical work. We have a small office area, but most of the action happens on the floor. People from around the city come here when they need stone for their projects. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. It's just us and our tools. Sometimes the traffic on Old Channi Road makes it hard for the trucks to get in, but we make it work. We’ve seen the industrial estate change over the years, but our unit stays pretty much the same. It’s full of dust and the smell of cut stone. We focus on the daily tasks and making sure the orders are filled correctly. It’s a straightforward business with no frills. We just deal in marble and granite. That’s about all there is to it.
