Moni Phukan & Associates

Our office is right on R C Dutt Road, which is a pretty busy place to be every day. Being in such a central location means we hear the city moving all the time. Moni and the rest of us have been working from this address for quite a while, and we’ve seen the street change a lot over the years. The building is older, with high ceilings and some spots on the floor that creak when you walk over them. We don't have any of those modern, sleek glass partitions. It’s just wooden desks and a lot of filing cabinets that are starting to show their age. We spend our mornings going through emails and our afternoons sketching out ideas for whatever project is on the board. The tea guy comes by twice a day, and that’s usually when we take our only real break. It’s a lot of hard work, mostly focusing on the technical side of things and making sure the drawings are right. R C Dutt Road can be a nightmare for parking, so we usually see people walking in after leaving their cars blocks away. We keep the windows shut most of the time to block out the street noise, but you can still hear the occasional horn. It’s a solid, functional place to work. We don't try to look like a big firm. We just handle the work that comes our way and keep things moving.
