We work out of an atelier in Vadodara, specifically at 21/C in the Navnath Society. If you are driving down Tarsali Road, you can’t really miss the G.E.B. substation, and we are right across from it. It is a handy landmark to have. Being in a society like Navnath makes the office feel more like a home than a cold business space. We have a small group of people here focusing on various architectural designs and plans. There are usually a lot of sketches pinned to the walls and rolls of paper sitting on the floor. The sun comes through the windows in the morning and hits the drafting tables, which is nice. Vadodara can get very hot, so we are thankful for the shade around the building. We don't go in for anything flashy. Our desks are old, and we use every bit of space we have. The hum from the substation across the road is just part of the background noise for us now. We spend a lot of time discussing projects and trying to figure out the best way to lay things out. It is a lot of back-and-forth and drawing and erasing. We aren't a giant firm with hundreds of employees, just a dedicated group in a quiet corner of Tarsali Road. We just keep our heads down and work on the drawings.
