Marutikrupa Marbles

Our yard is located right on Halol Road in Harni. If you are driving by, you probably see the stacks of stone sitting out front. It is heavy work, dealing with marble every day. We spend a lot of time outside in the yard, even when the sun is really beating down on us. The slabs are heavy and you have to be careful how you move them so they don't crack or chip. We have some help here to load the trucks when customers come to pick up their orders. It's not a quiet place, there is always the sound of machines or trucks idling nearby. Harni has changed a lot since we first set up here. There are more shops now and the road stays busy almost all the time. We keep a small office where we sit and talk to people about what they need for their floors or walls. We don't have any big signs or bright lights, just the name on the front and the stone piled up. Sometimes it gets muddy when it rains, and we have to put down planks so people don't ruin their shoes. It’s just a regular local business. We know most of the drivers who come through. We try to stay organized, but with so much stone, things sometimes get a bit cluttered. We just keep at it and make sure the work gets done before the day is out.
