Kirti Plastic Industries Pvt. Ltd. is based out of Plot No. A-1-610 in the Gidc Ind. Estate. If you’ve ever been to a plastic factory, you know exactly what it’s like. There’s that specific smell of warm plastic and the sound of the injection machines clicking all day long. We have rows of molds sitting on the shelves, some of them we’ve used for a decade and some are newer. The floor is usually covered in little plastic pellets that escaped from the bags, so we’re always sweeping up. It’s a big space but it fills up fast when we have a lot of stock ready to go. We use a lot of electricity, and sometimes the heat from the machines makes the whole building feel like an oven. We keep the big doors open to get some air moving, even if it brings in the dust from the street. Our team is just a bunch of local folks who know how to run the presses. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the walls. We just have a calendar and a list of what needs to be made by Friday. It’s a straightforward business. We show up, we run the machines, we pack the boxes, and we go home. It’s been that way for a long time now and we don't see it changing much.
