Kamal Industries

Our spot at Plot No. C-5-76 in the GIDC industrial estate isn't much to look at from the outside. It’s mostly just a gate and some metal sheds where we do our daily work at Kamal Industries. We’ve been here for quite some time now. Most mornings start with the sound of the shutters rolling up and the smell of the first pot of tea brewing in the corner. We aren't a big corporation with a fancy lobby or someone to greet you at the door. If you come by, you’ll probably find us out back near the machines or checking on a shipment. The yard gets pretty dusty when the trucks come in, and in the rainy season, we have to watch out for the leaks in the old roof. We just do our work and try to keep things moving. There’s no big philosophy behind it. We just make sure the orders are ready on time and that the quality is what it needs to be. Sometimes the machinery acts up and we spend half the day with tools in our hands trying to get it running again. That’s just part of the job. It’s a noisy place with a lot of heavy lifting, but we are used to it by now. We don't spend money on advertising or big signs. Most people find us because they know where we are or heard about us from a neighbor in the estate.
