Kashmir Art Palace

Our shop is at F 17 in the National Plaza, right on Anandnagar Road. It’s a decent spot in Alkapuri, close to Park View. We deal with arts and stuff from Kashmir, mostly things we like having around. It’s not a huge place, just a simple storefront where we keep the stock. Sometimes the traffic on Anandnagar Road makes it hard to park, but people find their way eventually. We spend a lot of time unpacking crates and making sure everything looks okay on the shelves. It’s mostly us and maybe one helper during the busy months. The light in Alkapuri is nice in the evenings when the sun goes down behind the buildings. We’ve been in this plaza for a bit now. It’s mostly regular folks walking by after work. We aren't doing any big fancy advertising or anything like that. We just open the doors in the morning and wait for people to come in and look at the carpets or the wood carvings. Some days are slow, so we just sit and talk or drink some tea. The National Plaza has a lot of different offices, so we know the neighbors pretty well. It gets a bit crowded on weekends, but that’s expected for this part of town. We try to keep things simple and honest. If a piece has a small flaw, we tell you. That’s just how we do things.
