Jay Narayan Marble Stone Company is situated right on Bahuchraji Road in the Karelibaug area. We’re right at the Char Rasta, directly across from the Ved Mandir. It’s a landmark that most people around here know well, so finding us isn’t too hard. We spend our days surrounded by marble and stone slabs. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and careful moving, so we’re usually pretty tired by the end of the day. The shop has been here for a good while. Marketing and trying to sound like a big corporation is something we don't bother with. We’re just a local stone yard where we try to keep a good stock for whoever needs it. Being across from the mandir means there’s always something going on outside, and the Char Rasta stays busy with traffic. We don't mind it much. It makes the day go by faster. Our crew is small and we all know what we’re supposed to do. There isn't much hierarchy here; we just work together to get the stone loaded and sent off. Sometimes the stone arrives late or the weather isn't great, but we just handle it as it comes. We’re practical people doing a practical job.
