Jagdish Thakkar

The office is over at A 106 in the Ashwamegh Complex on Palace Road. It’s right on the main road, so it is easy to spot if you are looking for it. Jagdish Thakkar is the name on the door. We are directly opposite the Sayajivihar Club, which is a good landmark for people who aren't from this side of town. It gets pretty crowded around here during the weekends because of the club and the shops, but during the week, it is just regular business. I spend most of my time at the desk in the back. The complex has been here for a long time and some of the paint is peeling, but it’s a solid place to work. I usually have tea around four when the delivery guy comes by. There is a lot of noise from the main road, but the windows keep most of it out. We don’t have fancy furniture or a big lobby. It is just a workspace where we get things done. Sometimes the lift in Ashwamegh Complex acts up, so I just take the stairs instead. It keeps me moving. Most of the people in the other units are friendly enough. We all just mind our own business and try to keep things running. If you are driving down Palace Road, you can’t miss the building. Just look for the club and we are right across from it. It’s simple and it works well for us.
