Jagat M Desai

My name is Jagat M Desai and you can find me at Palace Road 206. This spot has been my workplace for a long time, and I’ve watched the street change quite a bit through the window. The building itself has a lot of history, with my office being just one small part of that story. Instead of a huge staff or a complicated setup, it is mostly just me and a couple of others handling the daily paperwork and meetings. People usually drop by when they have a specific problem that needs sorting out. Keeping things straightforward and honest is how I prefer to operate. We don’t bother with much fancy technology, usually sticking to the old ways of doing things as long as they still work well. My desk is usually covered in piles of paper, and there is almost always a kettle going for tea. Palace Road is a nice area, even if finding a parking spot is a nightmare most afternoons. Having lived and worked around here for decades means I know most of the other shopkeepers on the block. We tend to look out for each other. I never planned to become famous; I just wanted a steady place to work and help out where I could. Early mornings are best, before the city gets loud, as that is when I get the real thinking done. I'll stay here as long as I can.
