We are located over at Santok Nagar Society in Baroda. It’s right on Chhani Road, which stays pretty busy throughout the day. If you look for the Roses Garden, we are just opposite that, at C/111. It’s a family-run kind of feel here, even if it’s a private limited company on paper. We’ve been in this building for quite a while now. The neighborhood is mostly quiet, which is nice for the people staying with us. We don't have a giant neon sign or anything like that. It’s just a regular building where we put in the hours. Most of our day is spent handling phone calls and making sure the rooms are clean. My cousin used to work the front desk, but now it’s mostly me and a couple of others. We get a lot of people coming in for work in the industrial areas nearby. The garden across the street is a good landmark because people always get lost looking for the society entrance. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the road a bit messy, but that’s just how it is in Gujarat. We don't have any big slogans. We just provide a place to sleep and try to be helpful if someone asks for directions to the station. It’s a simple life, really. We know the neighbors and they know us. It’s just about keeping the place running every single day for the guests.
