You can find Jay Mataji Aluminium over at the Uma Nagar Shopping Center, specifically at shop I 25. We’re quite close to the SR Petrol Pump on Wagodiya Road, which makes it easy for people to find us when they’re out running errands. Our shop is filled with aluminium frames, tracks, and sheets. It’s a loud place sometimes because we have to cut things to size right there. There are metal shavings on the floor and the smell of cut metal in the air. We’ve been here in this shopping center for a good few years now. It’s a small space, so we have to stack our materials high up against the walls. We don't have a fancy showroom; you mostly see the raw materials and the tools we use every day. Most of our customers are locals who need a window frame fixed or a new partition for their office. We do the work ourselves, from taking measurements to the final cutting. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we have a lot of orders, but we manage. We aren't corporate at all—it's just a few of us who know how to work with aluminium and want to get the job done right. We just show up, open the shutters, and start working on whatever is on the list for that day. It's dusty work but we like staying busy here.
