Harsh Acrylic

We run Harsh Acrylic over on S V Road 13 in the Karelibaug area. It is more of a workshop than a store really. There is always a lot of noise from the machines because we are cutting and shaping acrylic sheets most of the day. The air usually has that specific smell of heated plastic and there are little bits of scrap material all over the floor even though we try to sweep it up. We make all sorts of things like signs and boxes or whatever else someone needs out of plastic. People bring us drawings on scraps of paper sometimes and we have to figure out how to make it work. It is not always easy and we make mistakes sometimes but we just start over and get it right. We have been at this location for a good bit and the neighbors know us because of the sound of the saws. We don't have a big sales team or anything like that. It is just us doing the work with our hands and the machines we have. Sometimes it gets really busy and we have piles of sheets waiting to be worked on and other times it is a bit quieter. We just take the orders as they come in and try to stay on top of the pile. It is a dusty job but we like seeing the finished product after all the cutting.
