Up on the sixth floor of Tashyeed Towers, right across from the M.S. University Boys Hostel in Pratapgunj, you’ll find our office for Gulf Minerals & Chemicals L.L.C. Vadodara is a real hub for this kind of work, so it makes sense for us to be right in the middle of it. We deal with a lot of different minerals and chemical supplies that go out to various industrial users throughout Gujarat and beyond. The office isn't anything fancy, just a place for us to keep the files organized and handle the daily calls from suppliers and buyers. Being near the university gives the area a bit of energy, though we’re usually too busy with spreadsheets and shipping logs to notice much of it. We have a small group of people here who have been in the chemical trade for a long time. We don't really use much corporate jargon; we just talk about tonnages, delivery dates, and purity levels. It can be a bit stressful when a shipment is stuck at the port or when prices for raw minerals start jumping around, but we just take it as it comes. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, just trying to make sure the supply chain stays moving and our customers get their orders on time. It’s a basic, practical business and we like it that way. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
