Our place is located in the Nizampura area of Vadodara right at 309/1 Kadam Nagar. It’s an industrial part of town so there’s always a lot of movement and noise around us. We work with minerals and fine powders so the air inside can get a bit dusty if the ventilation isn’t turned up. Most of us wear heavy boots and overalls because things can get messy pretty quickly. The machinery makes a constant low thrumming sound that you stop noticing after a few hours. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the batches to make sure the micron sizes are exactly what they need to be. There are big silos outside and trucks coming in to load up or drop off materials throughout the day. The office part of the building is small and cramped with desks covered in lab reports and shipping manifests. It gets very hot in Vadodara during the summer so we drink a lot of water and try to stay in the shade when we aren't on the factory floor. We have a small canteen where we eat our lunch and talk about the weekend. It’s not a fancy setup but it’s functional and gets the job done. We’ve been at this location for a while now and we know all the other business owners on the block. It’s just a regular industrial site where people work hard and go home tired at the end of the shift.
