Gauri

Down on Harni Road, near the Isanpur Vatva Road intersection, you will find our small place at E 5. Gauri is the name on the door, but we don't make a big deal out of it. The area is quite dusty because of all the trucks that pass by on their way to the industrial zones. We spend a lot of our time just sweeping the floor and trying to keep the equipment clean. The shop is small and the ceiling isn't very high, so it can feel a bit tucked away from the rest of the world. We have an old radio that stays tuned to the local station, providing a bit of background noise while we work. Most of the people who stop by are locals from the Isanpur area who know us by sight. We don't have a website or any fancy brochures to give out. If someone needs something, they just walk in and ask us directly. There’s a tea stall just a few doors down that makes the best ginger tea, and we usually get a couple of cups delivered every morning. The chairs in our waiting area are a bit wobbly, but they serve their purpose for the few minutes people spend sitting there. It’s a very basic setup at E 5, but it’s what we have and it works for what we do every day.
