Our yard is at Plot No. 3 and 4 in the Ayran Industrial Estate. If you are heading down Chhani Road, look for the PVR Talkies. We are right near there, just across the street from the Matruchhaya Marriage Hall. It gets pretty busy and loud when there is a wedding happening over there, with all the cars and people everywhere. Our place is more of a practical stone yard than a fancy shop. We have different types of stone stacked up all over the ground. It's a lot of physical work, especially when a new shipment comes in from the quarries. We use the small crane to move the heavier bits around. I spend most of my day walking around the yard with customers, showing them the different textures of the rocks. It’s not a fancy office at all. There is just a small cabin where we keep the books and take a quick tea break. The sun can be quite sharp out here in the open, so we try to get the heavy loading done early in the morning before it gets too hot. We’ve been in this industrial area for some time. Most of our neighbors are also doing some kind of manufacturing or storage work. It’s a good spot because the trucks can get in and out fairly easily, even if the road gets a bit bumpy during the monsoon. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just stay here and work.
