You can find our office at 206, R.K Flats in the Manjalpur area of Vadodara. We’re located right near the Jalaram Temple, which is a very easy landmark to spot if you’re coming from across town. The Centre For Environment And Disaster Management isn't some glass-tower office. We work out of a flat because it's practical and keeps us close to the local community. It’s a regular building with other families and small businesses around. We focus on environmental stuff and helping out when disasters happen, but we aren't a government agency or anything like that. It’s just us doing what we can from our base in Vadodara. The office is often full of papers and maps, and it can look a bit messy, but we know where everything is. People come by to discuss local environmental issues or to get advice on safety measures. We don't have a receptionist or anything fancy like that. Usually, one of us just opens the door. Manjalpur is a nice neighborhood to be in, and being near the temple means there's always a bit of a peaceful vibe around. We’ve been here for a good while and plan to stay. It’s not about being a big name, it’s just about the work we do here at R.K Flats. We try to keep our neighbors informed about what’s going on and help out whenever someone asks for what we know. It is a quiet, steady place.
